Rhode Island is about forty-five minutes across at its widest. The monthly work runs through read-only feeds from your bank, cards and payment processors, so whether you are in Woonsocket or Westerly makes no practical difference to how your books get done or what they cost.
What the town does change is the shape of the business. A marina in Warwick, a maker in a Pawtucket mill and a salon in North Providence have genuinely different bookkeeping problems, and the pages above are about those differences rather than about geography.
